ZAKA Terms of Service

1. About ZAKA
ZAKA (zakahomes.app) is an online marketplace based in Mindelo, Cape Verde, that connects homeowners with renters and buyers looking for property in Cape Verde. ZAKA is operated by Marcelo Teixeira. Contact: makymarcelo11@gmail.com.
2. Who Can Use ZAKA
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your account details up to date.
3. ZAKA Is a Platform, Not a Party to Your Transaction
ZAKA connects people — it is not a real estate agency, landlord, broker, or party to any rental, sale, or booking arrangement made between users. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any property listed on the platform, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of listings, the condition of any property, or the conduct of any user. Any agreement, payment, viewing, contract, or dispute between a homeowner and a renter or buyer is solely between those users.
4. Homeowner Responsibilities
If you list a property on ZAKA, you confirm that you have the legal right to rent or sell it, that your listing is accurate and not misleading, and that the photos and description genuinely represent the property. You are responsible for responding to booking requests and inquiries in good faith.
5. Renter and Buyer Responsibilities
You agree to use booking and inquiry tools honestly, and not to submit false booking requests. Confirming a booking on ZAKA is a request to the homeowner, not a guaranteed reservation until the homeowner confirms it.
6. Reviews
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the listing or homeowner. ZAKA may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, or unrelated to a real interaction.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not: post fake or duplicate listings; use ZAKA to harass, defraud, or discriminate against another user; scrape or copy ZAKA's data; impersonate another person; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
8. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, post fraudulent content, or engage in abusive behavior toward other users.
9. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
ZAKA is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZAKA and its operators are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from a transaction, booking, or interaction between users, or from inaccurate listing content.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ZAKA after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cape Verde.
